^Lot 1239 Winchester Model 70 .257 Roberts #5894

Pre-war refurbished Winchester model 70 chambered in .257 Roberts, manufactured 1937, second year of production. Blued refinish, stainless steel triggerguard & hinged floorplate, 24" barrel with raised, hooded blade/bead front & adjustable notch rear flip sight with white diamond, serrated trigger, flip lever safety, cocking indicator. Re-stocked with a nice high gloss blond wood stock with flared grip, dark wood contrasting grip cap & forearm tip, sling studs, high comb shadow line cheek rest. Mounted with a Burris Signature 3X-9X scope, duplex reticle, clear optics. The bore is excellent/bright, strong rifling, the action is smooth, wood is excellent, and reblued finish is about 97% with light handling wear on the bolt knob, minor muzzle wear. There is a couple of patches of light pitting under the blue refinish on the barrel, barely noticeable.
